Ask an assistant for the best taco place nearby and it names one to three, not ten. Winning that shortlist works differently than every other kind of AI visibility, because for local questions your own website is not the primary source. Here is what is, and what to do about it.

Google Business Profile: the highest-leverage hour

Treat every GBP field as an input to a machine, not a brochure. Assistants weigh what independent sources say about you more heavily than what you say about yourself, and modern systems read review text for themes rather than just averaging stars.
